The Metz crowd will enjoy the separate Pizza servery after a few quaffs next door, and delivery means you can try the pizza and pasta for just $5 extra from Lower Sandy Bay to North Hobart.

Waxed is fully licensed and some inside help with the wine and beer list makes this an unexpected treat, the exclusion of BYO is no loss as prices are reasonable and the taxi rank is right outside.

Open Monday to Thursday 5pm to 10pm and Friday to Sunday 12pm till 10.30 pm. Mains start at $14.50 but you can get a pizza from $11 so that's a mouth watering prospect for table service nut if you want two pizzas for $20, you can takeaway nightly. Waxed ... a much needed and welcome addition to the Sandy Bay food-scene.
